Basic accommodation cleanliness: Cobwebs, mold, insects, and mosquitos were unfortunately part of the package.

We recently stayed at a fantastic hostel in Puerto Princesa, and as youngsters, we absolutely loved it! the hostel was clean, spacious, and had a cozy atmosphere with plenty of hangout areas. the best part was how environmentally conscious they were, something we hadn't seen in a long time while traveling. the inclusive breakfast served real coffee, and the staff was incredibly friendly and full of insights about the Philippines. the lockers in the rooms were also a great feature.

Had a great experience at a hostel in Puerto Princesa. Mel and Brian at the front desk were amazing and provided excellent service. the hostel itself was cozy with comfortable beds and working fans. the wifi, although limited to 200mb per day, was quick and reliable, much better than other places we stayed in Palawan. the free breakfast, especially the Sunday pancakes, was delicious. There's also a good restaurant nearby that the staff recommended. it was a great value for the money, with a backpacker-oriented atmosphere and a convenient location near the airport. Cons: No complaints. 😊.
